Based on the guidelines of the European Hydrogen Safety Panel (EHSP), ProAct’s Hydrogen Safety and Management Plan ensures that every stage of the hydrogen value chain—from production and storage to distribution and final consumption—is designed, built, and operated to the highest international safety standards. Our approach combines advanced hazard identification, robust engineering controls, and continuous training to protect people, assets, and the environment. Key components of the Hydrogen Safety and Management Plan:

 

  • Risk assessment (HAZID, HAZOP, Bowtie Analysis) for the identification of safety vulnerabilities (ISV) from the earliest project stages
  • Explosion protection document in accordance with international standards
  • Fire risk management
  • Hydrogen risk reduction plan with preventive and protective technical and organisational measures according to internationally accepted safety strategies
  • Safety management system for safe operation, testing, maintenance, management of change and emergency response
  • Continuous training and awareness for personnel through online and on-site sessions
  • Consequence modelling of major accidents using the internationally recognised EFFECTS software by Gexcon
